Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
Year 3 Teacher
Jane has a B.A. (Hons) degree in French and a PGCE in primary and middle years education. She taught across the age ranges in France and in England before moving to Belgium, where she worked as a translator when her children were young. She then spent several wonderful years running an English-language children’s bookshop where, in addition to the joys of meeting children and opening boxes of new books, she worked closely with local and international schools, promoting books and running workshops and book fairs.
She is passionate about children’s literature and about helping every child to discover the books that will inspire them and open doors to undiscovered worlds, hence her later return to teaching.
In her spare time, she spends as much time outside as possible, gardening, cycling and walking, or on the edge of a football pitch watching her (now grown-up) children and grandchildren!
