Smita is the ICT Coordinator at BISB, with a strong commitment to shaping how technology supports teaching and learning across the school. She enjoys implementing ICT initiatives and supporting staff and pupils on their digital learning journey.

She also looks after the school’s social media accounts, sharing the life of the school with our international community of families. She designs the posters and banners that go with them and manages the school website. Smita is also our Computing and Year 4 teacher. She believes in building a deep understanding of computing concepts while encouraging creativity and critical thinking.

Before joining BISB, Smita spent over eight years in sales and marketing with Marriott International and Westin Hotels, where she was recognised with the Marriott Spirit to Serve Award. She holds a Postgraduate Qualification in Business Administration (Marketing and Finance) and a PGCE (International) from the University of Nottingham. She brings together international corporate experience and classroom practice to help BISB communicate clearly and use technology well.
