Welcome back

Welcome back to school next week! This is the first Friday newsletter of this 2026-2027 school year and I hope it finds you all well rested and refreshed ready for the excitement and challenges of the new school year. It has been good to see various staff members popping into school this week as they start to prepare their classrooms.

There are a few dates to bring to your attention as we begin the new school year,

Monday 24th August - All staff back in school

Tuesday 25th August - New Families come to school between 2pm and 3.30pm for children to meet their teacher and pick up uniform before school starts.

Thursday 27th August – First day of school. The doors open at 8.30am for a 9am start.

Thursday 3rd September- Curriculum evening 6pm to 7pm

Saturday 5th September- Welcome Back Coffee Morning in our Acorn building 10am to 12noon

If anybody, apart from new children, needs to buy new school uniform items then please send an email into the school office (schooloffice@bisb.org) and it can be picked up anytime during next week.
