What a week this has been, lots of new experiences for many children and parents. Some parents waved their children off on Monday on the school journey and for many it was the children’s first time away on their own. When I popped out to De Haan on a couple of occasions during the week I saw very happy children having a great time so I am sure they will not stop talking all weekend about their adventures. They have all returned looking happy and full of chatter and stories about what a great time they have had.

I have to say on behalf of everyone a big thank you to Ms Bounds, Ms Gonzalez and Ms Bandaru for the excellent care they have taken of the children this past week. Taking children away on the residential trip is a wonderful experience and a lot of fun but it is also very hard work, being constantly vigilant on 24 hour watch.
The Key Stage 1 children also went on a trip on Friday to the environmental centre Tournesol Zonnebloem Boitsfort which is an Ecological Centre. They enjoyed a workshop as part of their environmental topic and they were lucky with the weather and able to eat their lunch in the grounds.

The cherry blossom has arrived at last and our school street and the surrounding area is starting to look very pink and beautiful. Do make an effort to come and see it as it is well worth a visit.
There is no swimming again this Wednesday 8th April as the NATO pool is still closed. The next swimming session will be on Wednesday April 15th.
BISB will be holding an Open Day on Saturday April 11th from 10am to 2pm. If you know of anyone looking to start their child in school, please encourage them to come along to visit us and you or they can register to join us here.
Saturday, April 4th is the 90 day deadline for you to inform us if you are leaving the school at the end of this school year. If we do not receive notice by this date, we will retain the deposit.
The school will be participating in an interschools seven-a-side football tournament on May 29th. Mrs Bounds will be sorting out the teams and we wait to see who will be playing.
Don’t forget that the school is closed on Monday April 6 for the Easter Public holiday.
We had a very enjoyable coffee morning today. We went to one of the local coffee shops for a change and enjoyed being together over a cup of coffee. Everyone is always welcome to come along to the Friday coffee morning as it is a good way to meet new friends.
